Geometric Sky

Using origami design, Geometric Sky is a pavilion that balances light and shadow through a series of windows stamped into a rigid barrel vault. It's wide ADA ramp allows for easy circulation as well as providing half seats for rest along the end wall. It is located in the center of the University of Utah's South Campus.

It's origami design is revealed in it's monolithic construction. It is formed out of one piece that is cut and bent. This is further emphasized in materiality as it is created using a singular thick white plane.
