Graft High Rise
Graft is a high rise located in the downtown area of Salt Lake City, Utah. It's parametrically curved face is designed by shifting floor planes as the building rises. A total 57 floors, the building features a branch-like green façade on it's East side. The bottom three floors hosts the mixed-use building's commercial side with larger spaces and rooftop areas. Notably, the building features a singular atrium that shoots through to the top of the building. This atrium is flanked by the main elevators.
This design was an exercise in physical articulation as well as structural planning. The building was designed to have 2.4 million square feet of livable space, split between offices and residential spaces.
Assistance was provided from Alex Landgrave and Lija Lubavs in constructing the large model.
