Parallax
Since the dawn of humanity, we have looked up at the Moon, giving it character and identity. For generations, our species understood the Moon as deity. It’s looming celestial presence is dependent on the darkness of night.
Parallax is a design charrette piece reflecting on the phases of the Moon. It is constructed of tessellating squares collected in three intersecting rings. It’s form communicates the same fragility and ethereality that is embodied in the character of the moon.
When seen from different angles, the planes of Parallax’s surface undergoes a shift of dark and light, much like the phase changes of the Moon.
